With Green Team’s 7-application weed control and fertilization program, our goal as professional turf managers is to provide you a beautiful lawn by keeping weeds under control and supplying the nutrients needed to promote a thick, healthy turf. And because we use the best products available and the best application techniques, you will notice fewer overall weed problems year after year.
Keep in mind that there is no such thing as 100% weed control or a “weed free” lawn. Be skeptical when you hear such claims. Many factors, including watering and mowing practices, weather conditions, type of weed, growth stage of weed and time of year, play a role in weed control.
Our licensed and certified technicians are equipped with the knowledge, experience and equipment necessary to make your lawn the envy of the neighborhood. Each “time sensitive” application will be scheduled approximately 4 to 6 weeks apart beginning at the end of January through October. Our program begins with a split application of pre-emergent and post-emergent. The two applications used will extend the effectiveness of the weed control and successfully suppress crabgrass from germinating later in the season. Throughout the spring and summer 3 applications of timed released fertilizer will be applied along with a post emergent weed killer. In late summer an application of winterizing fertilizer will be applied with high potassium to strengthen the root system which will sustain your lawn throughout the winter. The final treatment will be a pre-emergent and post-emergent to prevent winter weeds from germinating.
